DC unlikely to make new movies until 2015

Next Friday’s The Dark Knight Rises and next year’s Man of Steel will likely be the last time we’ll see DC characters on the big screen for a while. According to the LA Times, director Christopher Nolan, who is ending his run on Batman next week, has declined to take a production role on a […]

Christopher Nolan honored by Grauman’s Chinese Theater

Grauman’s Chinese Theater, one of the most famous locations in Hollywood, has a front courtyard famous for its cement prints and signatures of actors and those otherwise involved in show business. Until this month, there were only 7 directors memorialized there. Now, Christopher Nolan has joined them, becoming the youngest at 41 to join this […]

Quick Cuts: TMNT enter development hell, Lone Ranger gets a bigger budget and more

Michael Bay’s fan-maligned Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles remake has been shot down by Paramount, at least for the time being. It’s been pushed back until Summer 2014, due to issues with the script. Apparently, no one thought a reboot in which the TURTLES are aliens was an issue, but are learning that now. (Source: Vulture) […]

Trailer Watch: The Dark Knight Rises Feature Trailer

So. New footage. Indications that we might be seeing a Knightfall style storyline. Bane sounding better. Batman sounding less gravelly. Yeah, I’m ready for July 20. The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters on July 20, 2012 and will presumably make eleventy gazillion dollars.

Trailer Watch: Sequels-You-Do-and-Don’t-Care-About Edition

That title might be a little harsh to this first trailer, but frankly, while fun to watch in the ‘Wow-that-is-really-cool-the-way-that-monster-looks’ way, Clash of the Titans was a bit of a stinker. But no worries, we’re getting a sequel anyway, and one whose first trailer tops the ‘TITANS…..WILL…..CLASH!’ tagline of the original with the most non-sequitur […]

8 Years Later? Christopher Nolan on The Dark Knight Rises

This is unexpected. In the new issue of Empire, director Christopher Nolan reveals some new stuff about 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises. We know it will be his final Batman film but interestingly enough, it takes place 8 years after the last film. “It’s really all about finishing Batman and Bruce Wayne’s story. We left […]

Trailer Watch: Comic Book Edition

Well, I’m usually not too excited about reboots, particularly of franchises that I enjoyed, and I’m feeling the same thing for The Amazing Spider-Man, though it looks like it could be fun. I’m just trying to figure out whether he spins the web out of the back of his neck and through his shooters? Is […]

Another Edit: Now, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that a source close to production says Gordon-Levitt won’t be playing Falcone. So, we appear to be back to square one. More updates as they come in. Edit: At this point, this has not been confirmed. We will update when it is either proven true or false. However, […]

Christopher Nolan brings on Anne Hathaway as Catwoman(?) and Tom Hardy as Bane for The Dark Knight Rises

Let the speculation begin. Today, over at the LA Times’ Hero Complex, it was announced that Anne Hathaway has signed on to play Selina Kyle in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming (and final) Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises. Also being announced is that Tom Hardy, already confirmed, will be playing the villain Bane, he of the […]
