Trailer Watch: What Kill Bill Part 3 would look like: The Man with the Iron Fists

It’s sort of amazing that chessmaster cum martial artist cum rapper The RZA hasn’t made a foray into film before now. His love of martial arts is obvious to anyone who’s ever looked or hell, even heard the name of, rap group Wu Tang Clan. But now, he’s making his first foray into film directing, working with Eli Roth and Quentin Tarantino to bring us the ridiculous, over the top, and promising The Man with the Iron Fists.

If much of a summary is needed after watching that:

Since his arrival in China’s Jungle Village, the town’s blacksmith (RZA) has been forced by radical tribal factions to create elaborate tools of destruction. When the clans’ brewing war boils over, the stranger channels an ancient energy to transform himself into a human weapon. As he fights alongside iconic heroes and against soulless villains, one man must harness this power to become savior of his adopted people.

Starring RZA, Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu, Rick Yune and wrestler David Bautista, The Man with the Iron Fists is directed by RZA and hits theaters later this year.
