Quick Cuts: Amazing Spider-Man sequel scheduled, Young Money rappers join Ice Age cast and more
- From the department of ‘that was quick’ a sequel to the released-next-summer Amazing Spider-Man has been greenlit. The film will be hitting on May 2, 2014, less than two years after the release of the first which hits theaters on July 3, 2012. The movie will be written by James Vanderbilt (Zodiac). - Young Money rappers Drake and Nikki Minaj are joining the enormous cast of Ice Age: Continental Drift. It’ll be interesting to see how Minaj voices the character, considering she has one of the strongest flows of any female MC, though it can sometimes be….slightly terrifying. Also joining are Joy Behar and Nick Frost. (Source: Variety)
- If you’re a Hank Williams fan, get excited. It’s being reported that artists including Jack White, Merle Haggard, Norah Jones and Bob and Jakob Dylan have recorded unreleased Williams songs for an upcoming compilation.
