Musical Taste: MTV gets back to dealing with music…sort of

MTV is trying, slightly, to get back to their roots.

While their relaunch of Beavis & Butthead has gotten most of the press, Pitchfork reports that the network will be bringing back one of it’s indie rock shows, 120 Minutes. Debuting at 1 AM July 30 on MTV2 (a more than slightly unfortunate time-slot), the show will return to it’s formula of interviews and music videos you might be unlikely to see anywhere else….before the internet came along. Hopefully though, with old host Matt Pinfield and a lineup of guests including Das Racist, Sleigh Bells, the incomparable PJ Harvey, and more, he’ll be able to draw some attention. I know I’ll be staying up.

And now for your viewing pleasure, I give you OK Go’s awe-inspiring new video that my Nintendo 3DS surprised me with last night through their Nintendo Video service:
OK Go – All is Not Lost
