Supreme Court FTW

If you opened Steam today, you saw this

There you have it folks. Video games are protected under the First Amendment the way books, plays, and movies are. Not to read too much into this, but essentially the Supreme Court has said that video games can be art, the same way books, plays, and movies can be. But maybe that is reading too much into it.

In any event, it’s good to know that the Supreme Court realizes that video games have a value in society if they are allowed to be free from censorship.

As for me, while I don’t think this is a surprise ruling, I’m glad that it’s now been officially stated.
