Danny Boyle News: 28 Days Later Sequel and 127 Hours Feature Trailer
Danny Boyle is a busy guy. He’s received one Academy Award and is likely a lock for at least a nomination for new film 127 Hours. Now, word on the street is that he may be returning to a franchise he kickstarted.
According to an exclusive at Dreadcentral, Boyle is returning to the world of 28 Days Later to direct the third film in the franchise. There’s not much in the way of news beyond that at this point, but I’d line up early to see what new ideas the director has for the speedy zombie franchise.
We’ve also gotten a feature-length trailer for Boyle’s new film, 127 Hours. It continues to look fantastic, with James Franco giving off both humor and humanity in equal amounts. Expect an Oscar nomination for him as well.
127 Hours hits theaters on November 5, 2010.

can’t say I liked 28 Days later, so anything that comes after cannot be good.
I didn’t like how its own universe defeated itself. A pathogen, for which there is no cure or treatment, that can live in the blood of a dean animal indefinitely (dead crow), that can be transmitted through any bodily fluid contact (one drop in victim’s eye), that causes full symptoms within seconds and is 100% contagious.
Sorry, folks, but that’s the end of the human race and a very boring and totally pointless movie. Maybe if they added the subtext that Dawn of the Dead had, but not even then; the creation of the pathogen was weak even by movie science standards.
