Congratulations, Chris Colfer and Mike O’Malley!

I am going through sixty-nine pages of Emmy nominations right now and am so pleased with the selections this year. As everyone predicted from the “Glee” pilot, Jane Lynch has been nominated.

But what I am absolutely ecstatic that my belief that the father and son team of Chris Colfer and Mike O’Malley, who are destroying the image of the Magical Gay and father of gay kid stereotypes on “Glee”has been nominated as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series!

Go here for a complete list of the nominees.

I, too, was thrilled that Mike O'Malley was nominated today. I caught one scene with him in “Theatricality” where he reached in with his bare hands, ripped my still beating heart from my chest, considered it carefully for a moment before throwing it to the ground and stomping on it, looked at the splattered mess sadly, tried to reassemble it and put it back where it belonged. I could not believe this was the same guy from “Yes, Dear” and those Time Warner Cable commercials. I love him now and hope he wins, even though those awards are never aired during the regular ceremony.

I remember Mike O'Malley way back when on Nickelodeon hosting the game show GUTS. This is awesome, and so great to see him come so far!
