That’s Sir Captain Jean-Luc Picard to you

Didn’t this happen on the Holodeck once?

Patrick Stewart was knighted at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, and now has a title to rival that of his most famous role. While most people are aware of his Star Trek work, Stewart has for many years been a well-known and loved stage actor. He became interested in the theatre as a child and his heroes include “Sir Laurence Olivier, Sir John Gielgud, Sir Alec Guinness” (Which gives us a two-fer in the form of knights from both of the World’s most well-known science-fiction franchises) and that joining “”in that company is the grandest thing that has professionally happened to me.”

We here at GeekingOutAbout.com join the rest of the World in congratulating Sir Patrick Stewart. Set phasers to applause.
