Kara’s Video of the Day: How Hard Could It Be? (Updated!)

Imagine you’re driving down the road, minding your own business, and you pass a condo and a charming little brick cottage on your left.  And when I say “pass,” I mean you’re in the right lane … and they’re in the left.  At that point, two words should spring to mind.

No, not “gas leak.”

“Top Gear.”

This rather excited family happened to spy the lads engaging in what could only be one of the producers’ crazy challenges.  Though it’s hard for us to see any faces, the observers point out Jeremy Clarkson driving a condo (complete with decorative topiary), Richard Hammond in a little house with a white picket fence, and James May in a … erm … well, I’m not really sure what that is.

The new series doesn’t start ’til early July, and we know very little about it, but this gives us at least a little glimpse of what we have to look forward to.  Judging by the fact that they appear to be driving holiday houses, one horrifying thought springs to mind.

They’ve been forced to make their own caravans.

This can only end well.

Update: In response to the above video spreading like “a lively disposable barbecue,” two official photos have been uploaded here of what they’ve dubbed “TopGear [sic] Motorhome Action.”

They’re still not telling us what the hell James is meant to be driving, though.

Discussing with a friend last night … an alternative theory is not having to leave home to go on a road trip. Which makes me wonder if James May really DOES live in a giant art deco shark.
