John McClane to continue to Die Hard

Yippee-ki-yay-nother-sequel.

With that bad pun out of the way, The Hollywood Repoter’s Risky Business site reports in an exclusive that we may be seeing John McClane on the big screen again. Skip Woods (Hitman) has reportedly begun negotiations with Fox to write a new Die Hard script. Alex Young (Unstoppable) will produce.

As for John McClane himself, Bruce Willis currently has a somewhat full platter to get through before he can walk on glass or crawl through ductwork again. Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables hits August 13th, followed by Red on October 15th. He’s also on track to start filming video game adaptation Kane & Lynch later this summer.

    oh, no.

Die Hard is a film that is a classic on many levels, but the franchise did not improve. LFoDH was so totally over the top that it pushed even my bounds of action film enjoyment, but I accepted it as an all-out swan song for the franchise.

Now, you tell me this? Cruel.

If it's as medocre as Live Free or Die Hard, I don't know…and I am always geeking out about Bruce Willis. I love just about every movie he's been in.

I knew they couldn't help themselves. I only hope they take me up on my suggestion for the title [with due royalties applied] of “Old Habits Die Hard.”

    Seriously.
