Trailer Watch: Up in the Air
Jason Reitman’s follow-up to his smash-hit debut Juno — an adaptation of Up in the Air — has a teaser trailer up thanks to /Film, and it looks pretty great.
George Clooney looks and sounds like he’s doing his usual strong work, and if that isn’t enough for you, it seems he’ll be more than adequately assisted by an incredibly supporting cast consisting of George Clooney, Vera Farmiga, Anna Kendrick (Rocket Science), Jason Bateman, Tamala Jones, Chris Lowell, Zach Galifianakis, and Danny McBride (whom I didn’t actually spot in the trailer, but maybe I just missed him).
A critical hit at the Telluride Film Festival, Up in the Air is described as revolving around “a corporate downsizing expert whose cherished life on the road is threatened just as he is on the cusp of reaching ten million frequent flyer miles and just after he’s met the frequent-traveler woman of his dreams.” (Coming Soon says five million, though. I don’t think it matters.)
Check it out.
Up in the Air taxis into North American theaters on December 4th, 2009, with most of the rest of the world following in the next month of two. You can check out a clip from the film over at Apple, if you’re curious.

I think Danny McBride is the groom eating the cake at about 1:10?
