Trailer Watch: Blood: The Last Vampire

I can’t decide if this trailer for the live-action Blood: The Last Vampire movie looks awesomely cheesy or awesomely bad. You decide.

The live-action film comes out in Japan on May 29th, followed by UK and France releases in June. No word on a US release date yet.

If you don’t mind the shitty video quality, you can watch the full 48-minute original online here.

Isn’t that just blade with a chinese girl instead of Wesley Snipes?

Japanese, but otherwise yeah, pretty much. (Not that Blade was terrible original, either.)

I’m so sad to see that they chose to make this into a movie. And I’m so sad to see that they raped the storyline, killed it and then reassembled it into a action movie. :( Fail.

I actually watched the original movie a while ago… it had its charms. It had a pretty cool setting for a vampire movie – on an American air force base in Japan – but I don’t see any of that here.

I won’t go out of my way to see it, but there have been worse movies than ‘Japanese schoolgirl Blade’.
