Trailer Watch: Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire

Maybe I’m just a sucker for Sigur Rós, but this is a damn fine trailer. Trainspotting director Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire — an almost universally acclaimed drama (based on Q & A by Vikas Swarup) about an Indian boy who goes on India’s version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? to attract the attention of the girl of his dreams — is a shoo-in for some Oscar attention. It hits US theaters on November 12.

Blimey. That IS a good trailer. It’s been a while since I felt inclined to replay a trailer directly after the first watch, but I think I shall be doing just that in a second.

I read the blurb and went “wha? How could this be that good, doesn’t sound like something Danny Boyle would do…” but then I watched the trailer, aw hell yeah.
