Movie trailer voiceover legend Don LaFontaine has died

I think this may be the saddest celebrity death this year, to me, even moreso than Stan Winston. In five or six months, when trailers without his voice are the norm rather than the exception, it’s going to be a very strange place to be “in a world….”

Well… another voiceover legend, Hal Douglas (who is still alive and working), is better know for the “in a world” trailers and, in fact, is known as “Mr. In a World,” although Don LaFontaine coined the phrase (supposedly).
