Kristen Bell still hot, cross-eyed

From Heroes to a superhero director, smoking hot Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) has signed to star in When in Rome, a romantic comedy directed by Mark Steven Johnson, the auteur behind Daredevil and Ghost Rider.

Written by David Diamond and David Weissman, the film is about a “love-starved New York curator” (Bell) who steals magical coins from a fountain in Rome and, upon returning to New York, finds herself pursued by “a band of aggressive suitors — the very people whose coins she took.” Okay. I can’t say I find the “supernatural romantic comedy” sub-genre terribly interesting. Granted, they’ve been doing it for decades (C, but it seems like films like 13 Going on 30, Just My Luck, and Just Like Heaven have been coming out a lot more frequently of late. Ah well. What’s wrong with just a straight romance, guys?

Anyway, I think all superhero fans should mobilize and make sure that this movie kicks serious ass in the box office… so MSJ can stop making superhero movies. It’s like he wants to be the Uwe Boll of Marvel. (I’m mostly talking shit: I didn’t actually see either movie… but the reason I didn’t was because they looked like shit.)
